About Cornerstone Mosaic
I have always been fascinated by ancient mosaic art and inspired to create myself as I grew fonder of this almost extinct art.
In my art studio, I create landscape mosaics for local galleries, communities and home settings by using limitless mixed media such as marble, stain glass, smalti, porcelain, ceramics, minerals, wood, recycled materials, beads and more.
My art is inspired by nature and people; they are an expression of my inner being, feelings and places or events in my life. I love to play with colors and various textures while exploring different techniques and styles from a wide range of backgrounds and mixed materials.
My art continues to evolve and change just like life itself. The creative and detailed process is very therapeutic, and I cannot imagine more involved or more satisfying effort.
I am a member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists, Carlsbad Art League, Contemporary Mosaic Art and Art Glass Association of Southern California.
Mosaic and Sculpturing Workshops
Join me for an informative and fun workshop where you create your own mosaic art piece and receive a complete introduction to glass mosaic, appropriate applications, resources, using patterns, type of materials, glass cutting and shaping techniques, tools and their use, setting and grouting.
Each student works on their own piece based on a picture or image selected. Classes are tailored to the participants, and range in difficulty according to your ability.
